LiDAR
To our knowledge X-craft conducted the first UAS based LiDAR system flown in New Zealand. While others talk about being "able" to use LiDAR, we actually get out there and do it. The potential is looking very promising for a range of applications from environmental monitoring to architecture and archeology.

Stay tuned as X-craft will be doing a wide range of operations with LiDAR in the near future.

Note : LiDAR is a remote sensing technology that measures distance by illuminating a target with a laser and analyzing the reflected light. Although thought by some to be an acronym of Light Detection And Ranging, the term lidar was actually created as a portmanteau of  "light" and "radar".
